Signs in the Sand

Two believers,

Spiritual wanders,

drifting in the sand

embracing spring’s source of serenity.

Listening, watching, wondering.

Life’s unanswered questions

Float in the salty air and

crash into the rough surf.

Listening, watching, wondering.

And then,

A sudden sharp, yet gentle tug

like a mother’s touch on her child’s arm

whispering in his ear

“Listen Child”

Bare feet touching the embedded

message in the wet sand.

“He knows every burden and

wants to help you.”

They listen.

They watch.

They wonder.

Meaning

seeps into their hearts,

embracing them and

changing them forever!

Vaya Con Dios.

“Read on,” she said.
